Rochester: Thursday, April 20, 2017, at age 80. Predeceased by her father and mother, Joseph and Livia Ferraro; brother, Louie Ferraro. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Sam Sardo; children, Karen Sardo, Joseph (Carol) Sardo; grandchildren, Joseph Sardo, Melissa (Adam) DiLella, Samantha Sardo; great grandchildren, Giana, Samuel, Francesca, Joseph, Dominic and Aria; brother, Ronald (Mary) Ferraro; sister, Loretta Chiavetta; aunt, Gilda Santoro; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Rosemary Carsone, Michael and Carol Sardo; many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call SUNDAY from 2-5PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Monday morning, April 24, friends are invited to attend her funeral services at 11:00 in the funeral home. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Gilda’s Club of Rochester, 255 Alexander St., Rochester, NY 14607 in her memory.
