Gates: Surrounded by his loving family on Monday, September 4, 2017, at age 66. Predeceased by his father and mother, Bernard and Helen Lester; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stanislaus and Zofia Szostak. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Helen Lester; children, Mark (Theresa) Lester, Kelly (Ted) Chatzikonstantinou, Jeffrey (Michell) Lester, Katie (Joseph Jr.) Nucci; devoted “Papa” to his grandchildren, Ethan, Max, Kyler, Ella, Gianna, Sophia, Devan, Dimitrios, Zoey, Evangelos and Leonidas; sister, Judith Laba; brothers, James Lester, Thomas (Joan) Lester; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Stanley and Kathy Szostak, Richard and Pam Szostak; many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call THURSDAY from 4-8PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Friday morning, September 8, friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:30 in St. Theodore’s Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Lipson Cancer Center, 1425 Portland Ave., Rochester, NY 14621 in his memory.
