Rochester: Thursday, September 21, 2017 at age 103. Predeceased by his loving wife of 70 years, Rose Denaro; brother, Sam Denaro; sisters, Michelina & Rita Denaro. He is survived by his children, Jack (Beth) Denaro of FL., Joseph (Patty) Denaro of FL., Esther (Alexander) Maltese, Gregory Denaro of FL.; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews & cousins.
Joe was a fireman with the City of Rochester from 1943-1979. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Joe, along with his wife Rose, dedicated themselves to raising four children who they were very proud of their success.
Friends may call SUNDAY only 1:00-4:00 PM at DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Rd., Gates. On Monday, Sept. 25, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Ambrose Church, 25 Empire Blvd. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rochester Firefighters Benevolent Association, PO Box 31764, Rochester, NY 14603 in his memory.
