EAST GRANBY, CT - Formerly a longtime resident of Gates and Spencerport, NY. Peacefully March 16, 2018 at age 75. Predeceased by her husband, John R. Mitrano. She is survived by her children, John R. Mitrano Jr. of CT, James (Masha) Mitrano of CT, and Jennifer (Carter) Driscoll of NJ; beloved grandchildren, Marisa, Alessandra & Matthew Mitrano (their mother, Robbin Smith), Katie & Megan Driscoll, Clara Mitrano; sister-inlaw & brother-in-law, Nancy & Albert Cangiano; nephews & nieces, Louis Cangiano, Lisa (Michael) Buell, Lynn (Kenneth) Frye, Raymond Mitrano; many friends.
“Thome” was a Class of 1963 graduate (R.N.) of Highland Hospital School of Nursing. She enjoyed spending time playing bridge, golfing, doing the daily crossword puzzle, visiting with her grandchildren and volunteering for a variety of community organizations.
Friends may call THURSDAY from 3:00-7:00 PM at DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Friday, March 23, all are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in St. Theodore’s Church, 168 Spencerport Road. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
