Gates: Went home to be with the Lord, suddenly on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at age 53. Predeceased by his grandparents, J. Henry and Lillian Rust, Angelo and Tomasa Montalbano. He is survived by his father and mother, John F., Sr. and Eleanor Rust; sister, Lynn (Doug) Smith; nephew, Kyle Douglas Smith; many cousins and friends. John enjoyed playing soccer and loved helping others.
Friends may call MONDAY from 6-8PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Rd., Gates. On Tuesday, March 22, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:30 in St. Jude’s Church, 4100 Lyell Rd. Interment, private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport, NY 14450 in his memory.
