Gates: Peacefully on March 20, at age 100. Predeceased by his loving wife, Elisabeth on February 4, 2022; parents, Raphael and Alice Galletto; sisters, Mary DiLorenzi, Antoinette Gebhardt and Alice Sidoti; brothers, Alphonse and Philip Galletto. He is survived by his sons, Tony C. (Melissa) Galletto, Gary S. Galletto; grandson, Stephen A. (Nina) Galletto; granddaughters, Carrie Lambrecht, Lisa Marie Galletto; great grandchildren, Kiersten Skinner, Juliana Galletto, Benjamin Galletto, Audriana Wilson; nephews, Alan Galletto, David Galletto, Philip Galletto, Ralph (Susan) Galletto, John (Sheila) Galletto, Michael (Ann Marie) Galletto, Charles (Laura) Sidoti; nieces, Cathy (Kurt) Jensen, Carolyn (David) Savine; many great nieces and great nephews, cousins and friends; caregiver, Elizabeth Foran; special neighbors, Gaby (Richard) Buonocorso.
Mr. Galletto was a highly decorated combat veteran of WWII, was a prolific poet and writer, and retired as Director of Real Property Tax for Monroe County after 37 years of service.
Anthony’s visitation will be held on SUNDAY from 4-7PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Rd., Gates. On Monday, March 27, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:30AM at St. Theodore’s Church. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to National Kidney Foundation, 1344 University Ave., Suite 270, Rochester, NY 14607 in his memory. Anthony’s family would like to thank the staff at the Dialysis Center at Unity Hospital for their loving and compassionate care.
