In 1950, Andy began his lifetime career in the automotive industry, where he owned and operated a used car dealership. He managed the dealership company another 60 years until his retirement in 2013. Andy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends over coffee and cookies and playing cards. He had a great sense of humor and shared many stories about his life experiences. He was a caring and thoughtful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Our father was a man of many words and blessed with much wisdom. During his illness, he continually reminded his family to have faith, be brave, and stay strong.
Friends may call FRIDAY, January 29, from 3-7PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Rd., Gates. On Saturday, January 30, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:30 at St. Lawrence Church, 1000 N. Greece Rd. Interment, private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Alzheimer’s Assoc., 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14623 in his memory. Our family would like to thank the entire staff at Friendship One West at Monroe Community Hospital for their outstanding care, and in particular, Yared, Kelly Belle and Katie, for not only taking care of our father, but going above and beyond, especially during COVID-19.
