Amato, Antoinette “Nat” (Sanguedolce)
Greece/Perinton: Sunday, July 4, 2021, at age 86, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Predeceased by her husband, Salvatore “Sam” Amato; sisters, Marion Emert and Bessie Piarulli; sister-in-law, Maria Elena Amato. She is survived by her children, Salvatore “Sam” (Linda) Amato, Jr., Carla (David) Vaccaro; grandchildren, Salvatore “Sam” (Jen) Amato, III, Father Anthony Amato, Christopher Amato, Dominic Amato, David Vaccaro, III, Andrew Vaccaro; great granddaughter, Serafina Amato; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may call WEDNESDAY, July 7, from 4-7PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Rd., Gates. On Thursday, July 8, all are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mt. Read Blvd. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Those wishing, donations may be directed to Theological College at Catholic University, 401 Michigan Ave., Washington, DC 20017 in her memory. Antoinette’s family would like to thank all of her caregivers, especially Dr. Kramer and his staff at the Lipson Cancer Center, the staff on the 6th floor Pluta Oncology Unit at Rochester General Hospital, and the staff at the Leo Center for Caring at St. Ann’s for their loving and compassionate care.
