He was a fisherman, sports enthusiast and country music fan. he never lost his passion for fishing and taught his children and grandchildren the basics of fishing. They enjoyed many fun times in the Thousand Islands on the "Tia Maria". There are many who will recall the words "get the net" when a fish was hooked, and heaven forbid if you failed to net the fish! In his later years, he attended many sports events, both pro sports and games of his grandchildren when he could.
