Gates: Friday, August 21, 2020, at age 76, after a long battle with lung cancer. Predeceased by her father and mother, Frank and Lena Hertzel; sister, Mary Mongelli; dear twin sister, Dorothy Lombardo; brother, John Hertzel. Dolores cherished her three beautiful grandchildren, Brittney and Blake Cognata and Liani Johnson. She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Richard Cognata; daughter, Marie Cognata; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Suzanne Cognata; many nieces and nephews.
No prior calling. On Thursday, August 27, all are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at The Parish of the Holy Family, 4100 Lyell Rd. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Blake Cognata Foundation, 500 East Ave., Rochester, NY 14607 in her memory.
