Gates: Friday, March 27, 2020 at age 78. Predeceased by his parents, Carl & Mildred; sister, Lorraine Wittman; mother-in-law & father-in-law, Jack & Mary Wallman; brother-in-law, Ray Wallman. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara; children, Jeff (Dorothy) Wittman, Julie (Fritz) Cryser; grandchildren, Tyler & Jessica Wittman, Charleen & Ian Cryser; sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, Mary A. Wallman, John E. Wallman, Fred & Elaine Wallman, Richard & Judy Wallman; special cousin, Phyllis Malsegna; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Doug was a proud Vietnam Veteran (Army) and a retiree of Eastman Kodak. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, as well as hiking and canoeing in the Adirondacks. He was an avid sports fan and found pleasure in coaching his kids in youth sports for many years. After retiring, he loved traveling and spending the winter months in Nettles Island, Florida. His happiest moments were spending time with his family, especially his four grandkids.
On Saturday, July 24, 2021, all are invited to attend his Memorial Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in St. Theodore Church, 168 Spencerport Road, Gates.
