Gates: Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at age 71. Predeceased by his father and mother, Anthony and Margaret Fanale; father-in-law, Joseph Balzano; sisters-in-law, Joan Englert and Debra Perrotta. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Geraldine Fanale; children, Anthony (Michele) Fanale, Natalie (Joseph) Magliozzi; grandchildren, Maeliana, Anabella and Mikayla Fanale, Valentino and Marchesa Magliozzi; sisters, Bonnie Fanale, Nancy Hamilton; mother-in-law, Dina Balzano; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Doreen and Greg Gauron, James Englert and Robert Perrotta; many nieces and nephews.

After suiting-up Rochester’s best dressed at McFarlin’s men’s clothier, servicing cars at Gallina's garage, then serving as a medic in the Army Reserves; Gary began his professional career at Lincoln First Bank. After a successful 10 years, he ventured into a 30 year entrepreneurship with his news and Lotto retail business the “News Parlor”. Then a miracle from an angel, 24 years ago Gary received the 523rd Heart Transplant at Cleveland Clinic. What gave him life, gifted him the opportunity to meet and nurture his five beautiful grandchildren. Gary was a devoted husband, inspirational father and a selfless man. He lived a life of service; no task too great - he always helped with a loving heart and a willing hand.

No prior calling. On Friday, February 12, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:30 at St. Theodore’s Church, 168 Spencerport Rd. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
