Rochester: Thursday, May 13, 2021, at age 87. Predeceased by her husband, Anthony Amorese, Jr.; father and mother, Anthony and Antoinette DiPonzio; brothers, Dominic and Paul DiPonzio; sister, Genevieve DiPonzio. She is survived by her children; Joe Amorese (Barbara Locke), Roseann Qualdieri, Annette (Tom) Rzepka and Gina Schmitt (Wayne Rogers); grandchildren; Sammy Qualdieri (fiancee, Nicole), Joseph and Sarah Qualdieri, Samantha (Jason) Streb, Rachael (Joe) Short, Cassandra and Chelsea Rzepka, Jason and Tyler Schmitt, Zachary and Mitchell Rogers; great grandchildren, Noah, Shea, Eli and Dawson; sisters and brother-in-law, Bernadine Kubitz, Patty and Peter Tantalo; sisters-in-law, Lisa Lorette and Louise Amorese; many nieces and nephews; her grand-dogs, Rocky and Bella.
Friends may call MONDAY ONLY from 4-7 PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc. 219 Spencerport Rd., Gates. On Tuesday, May 18, all are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 10:30AM at Holy Cross Church. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Ave., Rochester, NY 14612 or to Alzheimer’s Assoc., 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620 in her memory. Gemma's family would like to thank Pat Frearson for her loving and compassionate care.
