Gates: Friday, February 10, 2023, at age 91. Predeceased by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary Furchill; son-in-law, John Covert; brother-in-law, Salvatore Manfre. He is survived by his children, Karen Covert of VA, Patrick (Kimberly) Furchill; grandchildren, Christine Covert (fiancé, Daniel Healy), Vincent Furchill (fiancee, Emily Artz), Nicholas Furchill, Mac Furchill; great grandchildren, Giavanna and Vincent; sister, Doreen Manfre; many cousins and friends. Gilbert was an active parishioner and choir member at St. Theodore’s Church and had volunteered at Park Ridge Nursing Home and the Cottages at Unity for over 25 years.
Friends may call FRIDAY from 4-7PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Saturday, February 18, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:30AM at St. Theodore’s Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to St. Theodore’s Church, 168 Spencerport Road, Rochester, NY 14606 in his memory.
