Rochester: Saturday, December 2, 2023, at age 91. Predeceased by his six siblings, Leonard, Anthony, Josephine, Carmella, James, and Phyllis; “son” Michael Savino. He is survived by his loving companion of 52 years, Carol Savino; her children, LuAnn Ramos, Sandra Hernandez, Dana (Lisa) Savino; grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
John was an Army Veteran. He was a retiree of the Rochester City Fire Department (1963-1984).
Friends may call Friday from 3:00-7:00PM at DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Saturday, December 9th, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:30AM in St. Theodore’s Church. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Theodore’s Church, 168 Spencerport Road, Rochester, NY 14606, or Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY 14450 in his memory.
