Gates: Saturday, July 29, 2023, at age 76. Predeceased by his father and mother, Jose and Maria Faria. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Maria (Martins) Faria; daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Norberto Nobrega; grandchildren, Veronica and John Nobrega; two sisters in Portugal; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Belmira and Joe Gouveia; many nieces, nephews and dear friends in Rochester and Portugal. Mr. Faria was born in Portugal and worked as a carpenter. He immigrated to Rochester in 1988 and retired from DiPaolo Baking.
Friends may call FRIDAY from 4-7PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Saturday, August 5, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:30AM at St. Theodore’s Church, 168 Spencerport Road. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Andrew Kirch Dialysis Center, c/o Rochester Regional Health Foundation, 330 Monroe Ave., Suite 400, Rochester, NY 14607 in his memory.
