Rochester: Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at age 71. Predeceased by his son, Frank Blockston; mother, Frances Leonardo. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Catherine (Rotolo) Leonardo; son, Joey Leonardo; grandson, Ayden Blockston; brothers, Michael (Julie) Leonardo, Jim (Donna) Leonardo; sister-in-law, Shirley Ann (Charles) George; brother-in-law, Nicholas (Debra) Rotolo; best friend, Richard (Linda) Johnson; many nieces and nephews. Joe was a member of the Brockport Elks Lodge and Brockport Elks Riders. He was also a retiree of the City of Rochester after over 40 years of service.
Friends may call SUNDAY, October 8, from 12:00-3:00PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Rd. Gates. A celebration of life will follow at the Brockport Elks Lodge, 4400 Sweden Walker Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to American Cancer Society, PO Box 10727, Rochester, NY 14610 in his memory.
