Giardino, Josephine "Josie" (Giudice)
Monday August 24th. BELOVED, PROUD and LOYAL daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Josie was born on April 29, 1929. She was the third of seven children born to Neil and Josephine Giudice. In her early years, Josie excelled in school and at bookkeeping. Upon her marriage to the “love of her life,” Angelo J. Giardino, on July 5th, 1948, an incredible partnership was launched, and endured for 48 years! During that time, Josie mastered the arts of motherhood, grandmother-hood, and monumental Sunday dinners. Her stories, life lessons, sayings and advice will live on forever.

Predeceased by her lovibg husband, Angelo Giardino; brother, Rocco Giudice; sisters, Rose Giudice, Ann Kozlowski and Grace Licata. She is survived by her three doting children: Phil A. Giardino and his wife Connie; Natalie Peralta and her husband James; and Neil P. Giardino and his wife Jenny. Josie is also survived by eight grandchildren: Kristopher A. Giardino, his wife Sheri, and their children Olivia, Elena and Nicholas; Phillip D. Giardino, his wife Emily, and their children Joseph and Nina; Neil A. Giardino; Mark J. Caparco, his wife Mercy, and their children Marky, Maggie, Molly and Marshall; Angela Randall, her husband Jason, and their children Phillip, Lia and Anthony; Daniel L. Caparco, his wife Gina, and their children Daniella and Juliana; Jack J. Giardino; and Annette L. Giardino. In addition, Josie is survived by her sister Marie Perrone, brother Anthony Giudice and his wife Charlene, sisters-in-law Lucia Giudice and Mary Fico, brothers-in-law Walter Licata and Sam Giardino, daughter-in-law Mary E. Giardino, son-in-law Mark A. Caparco, “cousin two times” Rose Valleriani, and her personal care giver Michelle Scavetta. Josie’s advice and opinions (solicited or not) will be forever missed, but never forgotten.
No prior calling. On Saturday, August 29, all are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 9:30 at the Parish of the Holy Family, 4100 Lyell Rd. Interment, Holy Ghost Cemetery.
