Gates: Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at age 92. Predeceased by her husband, Mario Marinetti; brother, Vincent Giummo; sister, Nancy Adams; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Guy and Gilda Tarquinio. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine (Richard) Sweeney, Kathryn (David) Capierseho; grandchildren, R. Thomas (Meredith) Sweeney, Meghan (Richard) Sarkis, Danielle Capierseho (Christopher Cook), Jaclyn Capierseho (Elizabeth Miller); great grandchildren, Madeline, Grace, Dylan, Alexander and Julian; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Grace Giummo, Richard and Adele Klein; many nieces and nephews. Josephine was a member of the Gates Amita Club, Gates Republican Club and the Park Ridge Ladies Auxiliary.
Friends may call FRIDAY from 4-7PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Rd., Gates. On Saturday, August 8, 2020, all are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at Holy Apostles Church (Lyell Ave. and Austin St.). Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Annie’s Angel Fund, c/o St. Ann’s Foundation, 1500 Portland Ave., Rochester, NY 14621 in her memory. Josephine’s family would like to thank the staff on the 4th floor at St. Ann’s Home, the staff at the Leo Center for Caring, and her “buddy” Heather for their loving and compassionate care.
