Gates/Greece: passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at age 79. She was born in Cleveland Ohio on April 25, 1944. She is predeceased by her husband, Jerry Denny and mother, Anne Beck. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Joy and Brian Swierk, Melisa and Todd Meyer; grandchildren, Jarrett Swierk, Morgan Meyer and Nolan Meyer; brother, Tom Beck; sister-in-law, Jerri (Bill) Cowger; nieces and nephew, Steffanie (Craig) Brown, Stacy (Adam) Beck-Kripke, and Tom Beck; special cousin, Carole Lamb; many dear friends who were considered family.
Kathy was happiest when surrounded by friends and family. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and her fun-loving personality. Kathy was fortunate to have built friendships that became chosen family through the years. With them she shared countless memories from holidays, picnics, Camp Onanda trips, various travels, and so much more. Kathy found great joy when crafting--quilting, rubber stamping, sewing, cross-stitching, and crocheting---she did it all! Her travels to Ireland with friends (both old and new) held a special place in her heart.
Friends may call Saturday, August 26, from 12:00 Noon to 3:00PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. Her funeral services will follow at 3:00PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Hilton Fire Department, 120 Old Hojack Lane, Hilton, NY 14468 or to Rochester Veteran’s Center, 2000 South Winton Road, Building 5, Suite 201, Rochester, NY 14618 in her memory.
