Gates: Saturday, April 8, 2023, at age 80. Predeceased by her parents, Paul and Iris La Salle; brothers, Harold La Salle and Michael St. Julien. She is survived by her children, Janet Clay, Paul (Karin) Clay, Rachel Werth; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; sisters, Denise LaSalle of TX, Bernadine Miller of TX, Gloria Ann Victoria of LA, Gwendolyn Olivier of LA, Marie Bernard of LA, Linda Patin of TX, Mona La Salle of LA; brothers, Alvin “Butch” La Salle of CT, Jurvis La Salle of CT; many nieces and nephews. Lois was a retiree of Delco Products. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
Lois was born on August 27, 1942 in New Iberia, Louisiana, but called Rochester her home for over 60 years. After retiring from Delco Products, Lois enjoyed the Delco Club volunteering as chaplain and performing letter writing duties as well as the Gates Senior Club #3, where she played cards and Bingo, danced. laughed and took many trips. Lois was a devout Catholic and attended the Parish of the Holy Family Church in Gates. She was full of life and enjoyed making memories with family and friends in addition to such hobbies as gardening, reading, crocheting and sewing over 200 blankets, and caring for those that needed compassion.
Friends may call THURSDAY from 4-7PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Friday, April 14, all are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 11:00AM at Parish of the Holy Family Church, 4100 Lyell Rd. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Those wishing, donations may be directed to Sunset House, 3746 St. Paul Blvd., Rochester, NY 14617 in her memory.
