Gates: Friday, June 16, 2023, at age 66. Predeceased by her father and mother, Michele and Grazia Giordano; aunt, Anna Monticelli. She is survived by her brothers and sister, Nicola (Gail) Giordano, Teresa (Randall) Pacek, Giuseppe Giordano of SC; nephews and nieces, Nicholas, Ryan, Gia, Arend, Susan, Ann Marie and Aron; special great nephew, Isaac; many cousins and extended family in Italy; her beloved cat, Luther. Maria was born in Lucera, Italy and emigrated to Rochester when she was 9 years old. She graduated from Gates-Chili High School in 1975. She had worked for K-Mart and retired from Wegmans.
Friends may call SUNDAY from 2-5PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. Funeral services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Beverly Animal Shelter, 50 E. River St., Waterloo, NY 13165 in her memory.
