Greece: Sunday, August 23, 2020. Predeceased by her parents, Michael and Margaret Giannavola; sister, Marge Grande; brother, August Giannavola. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Felice; children, Michelle Fitch, Frederick Taccone; grandchildren, Cassandra, Daniel (Lexi), Elliott, Garrett, Hunter and Jillian Fitch; great grandson, Lennon; brother-in-law, John Grande; many nieces and nephews.
Marie was a graduate of Our Lady of Mercy High School. She ultimately worked for over 40 years as an office manager for Cornerstone Eye Associates, where she took great pride in her work. Marie’s Sicilian/Italian heritage enabled her to be an exquisite cook. Nothing pleased her more than cooking a traditional Italian feast especially during the holiday times. It was in 2012 where Marie found her true love and sole mate in Richard. Together they were known to frequent a casino or two where Marie was as comfortable at a slot machine as she was in the kitchen. Marie’s final days were exemplary of how she lived her life, with class, dignity, and grace. Richard would like to thank the entire staff at Hildebrandt Hospice for their caring, nurturing, and professional attention to Marie.
Fiends may call THURSDAY from 4-8PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Rd., Gates. On Friday, August 28, all are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 9:30AM at St. Theodore’s Church, 168 Spencerport Rd. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to School of the Holy Childhood, 100 Groton Pkwy, Rochester, NY 14623 in her memory.
