Norma was very active in politics through her years, especially the Gates Democratic Party, even running for Gates Supervisor in the 1970’s. She worked for Senator Ralph Quattrociocchi and as Office Manager for Senator Rick Dollinger. Still active in politics after retiring, she worked at the Board of Elections and ran for a Greece Town Board seat in 2011.
Passionate about volunteerism, Norma regularly ushered at the RPO and GEVA Theater, rang bells for the Salvation Army, served on the Auxiliary Board and worked the boutique at Monroe Community Hospital. She also prepared taxes for the C.A.S.H. tax program.
Norma loved to travel and went on many cruises with friends and travelled all over the world to places like England, Scotland, Ireland, Russia and Egypt where she even rode a camel. She especially loved spending time with her family at her place in Cape Vincent. She touched many lives and leaves behind many, many friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
