Rochester: Thursday, April 28, 2022, at age 100. Predeceased by his wives, Lucy Russo and Patricia (McCoy) Russo; father and mother, Ignatius and Mary (Leone) Russo; sisters, Sarah Accorso, Mary Marussich, Grace Berardi, Josie Reina, Pauline Cappellino and Barbara Rumsey. He is survived by his children, Cynthia Russo, Paul J. Russo, Jr.; grandchildren, Isaac and Emma Russo; sister, Joanne Vergona; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Russo was a retired police officer with the Rochester City Police Dept., as well as a retired real estate broker. He was a loving father and lived his life to the fullest the way he wanted.
No prior calling. On Thursday, May 5, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 12:00 Noon at Parish of the Holy Family Church (St. Jude’s), 4100 Lyell Road. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Those wishing, donations may be directed to Alzheimer’s Assoc., 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620 in his memory. Paul’s family would like to thank the staff at the Palliative Care Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital for their loving and compassionate care.
His family kindly asks that anyone attending his funeral services to please wear a mask.
