West, Roberta A. “Bobbie” (Anderson)
Spencerport, NY: Peacefully in her family’s care on the morning of February 5, 2021.
She is predeceased by her parents Robert and Jane Anderson. She is survived by her husband, Terry E. West; sons, Deric (Amy) West and Jason (Enza) West. She adored her vibrant grandchildren Andrew, Kaitlyn, Owen, Ella, and Alex West. Robbie is also survived by her sister, Barbara (Alan) Pittman; nephew Kirk (Cristina) Pittman; niece, Jodi (Rich) Kozera. Additionally, she is survived by aunts Annie (Gerald) Gresock of Horseheads, NY and Diane Maruca of Anita, PA. Robbie grew up in Punxsutawney and Anita, PA and is survived by numerous cousins.
She was known as “Bobbie” during her long career at Delco Products where she has kept in touch with so many of the people she worked with. Her family nicknamed her Robbie but mostly she was just Mom or Grandma.
Robbie fought a courageous fight for her health over the last years of her life. She was a tough, strong woman, but she was supported by many caring and supportive medical professionals. They became her friends quickly which is how it always went once you met Robbie. She will be missed by many people whose paths she crossed and her loving family.
After retiring she enjoyed living close to her grandchildren, travelling, attending Mass at St. John’s Church in Spencerport, and staying in touch with her family in PA. Her caring and kindness were shown through charitable contributions. Most importantly she embodied grace as she always sought out the best in people.
Friends may call Tuesday, Feb. 9, from 3:00-6:00 PM at DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Wednesday, Feb. 10, all are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 55 Martha Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Open Door Mission, 156 Plymouth Ave., Rochester, NY 14608 in her memory.
