Chili: Scott Alberti passed away on November 9, 2023, after courageously battling cancer. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Rosalie Alberti. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Flora (Calvaresi) Alberti; son, Antonio Alberti; brothers, Frank Alberti, Vincent Alberti; sister, Debra (Lapp) Alberti; niece Francesca Alberti; nephew, Evan Lapp; great nephew, Corbin Lapp; mother-in-law, Concetta Calvaresi; many other relatives and friends.
He was born December 26, 1972, in Rochester NY., growing up in Wolcott NY. After graduating from North Rose Wolcott high school, Scott received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from SUNY Brockport. Scott joined the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department in 1994 where he spent 29 years serving the community. He had a wonderful career rising up through the ranks to become a Captain and then commanding officer of A Zone. Scott enjoyed fishing, coaching, traveling, golfing and spending time with his wife and son.
Friends and family may call on Tuesday, November 14, from 4-8PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Wednesday, November 15, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. Pius X Church, 3010 Chili Ave. Interment, private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation (https://cholangiocarcinoma.org/) in his memory.
