Gates: Monday, December 25, 2023, at age 84. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marie (Liberatore) Welsh; sons, Paul (Jennifer) Welsh, Edward Welsh Sr. (Ann), Mark Welsh; grandchildren, Nicholas (Kara) Mastrodonato, Tiffany (Dylan) Muccilli, Edward Welsh, Jr. Kori Walker, Amanda (Ashley) Daily, Ion (Jessica) Walker; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Cathy Corbett; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jeannette and Christopher Noah; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Welsh was a retiree of the US Postal Service, worked at Walmart as an associate for 17 years, was a member of the Gates Amita Club and an Army Veteran during the Vietnam Era.
Friends may call Tuesday from 1-3 and 6-8PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Rd., Gates. On Wednesday, January 3, 2024, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 11:00AM at Parish of the Holy Family Church, 4100 Lyell Rd. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
