Gates: Sunday, August 22, 2021, at age 86. Predeceased by her husband, John R. DiCaro; daughter, Marcia DiCaro. She is survived by her sons, John A. (Paula LaManna) DiCaro and David R. (Janet) DiCaro; grandchildren, Casey (Josh) Jensen, Erin (Matt) Kramer, Evelyn (Justin) Howard, and Joe DiCaro; great grandchildren, Brendan, Margot, Cameron, and Daisy; sister, Angeline Lake; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Vera was an avid baker, best known for her cinnamon buns and Italian cookies. She was a long-time member of the Gates community, a proud member of the Gates AMITA Club, Gates Seniors Thursday Group and truly enjoyed her time partnering with students at the Gates Chili Middle School. She cherished her family and the many close friendships she made through the years.
Friends may call Sunday only from 2:00-5:00 PM at DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Monday, August 30, all are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in St. Theodore Church, 168 Spencerport Road. Interment, Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Golisano Children’s Hospital, 300 East River Road, Box 278996, Rochester, NY 14692 in her memory.
