San Jose, CA: formerly of Scottsville in Sanford, NC on Friday, December 27, 2019, at age 92. Predeceased by his wife, Joan (Ort) Murphy. He is survived by his children, Joseph (Joan) Murphy of OR, Linda (Javier) Barboza of CA, Jean (Scott) Twing of NC, Patricia Murphy of CA; 7 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Mr. Murphy was a retired research engineer from Xerox Corp. and an Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII.
Friends may call Saturday morning, January 4, from 11:00-12:00 Noon at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Rd., Gates, where his funeral services will follow at 12:00 Noon. Interment, Holy Angels Cemetery, Scottsville.
