Aponte, Eusebio “Calin”
Gates: Eusebio Aponte (Calin), 86 of Rochester, New York passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016. Born in Cerro Gordo barrio de Villarba, Puerto Rico, August 28, 1929. He has been cared for by St. John’s Nursing Home for the past 12 years. He was loved by everyone who knew him. Survivors include his beloved wife of 62 years, Mercedes; his children; Lillian Vasquez (predeceased), Judith (Norman) Aponte-Randall of CA, Charles (Mayra) Aponte of VA, Catherine (late Clint) Gray of FL, Caroline (Ray) Eagan and Jeffrey Aponte of CA, brothers and sisters, Facundo (Ada) Aponte of Gates, Virgermina (Agapito) Rivera of NY, Digna (Santiago) Ramos of NY, and those who have gone before him Maximina Correa (Mother), Manuel (Father); Valentin (Santa), Severiano (Rosita). Several nieces and nephews in Rochester and Puerto Rico. Grandchildren include Li Sandra Vasquez, Hector Vaquez & Hector Hommie Vasquez, Kanisha Jones (Jantale), Roberto Aponte, Justin Williams, Jeremy Galindo, Shiseida Aponte, Giovanna Galindo, Melanie Harter (Josh), Ian Randall and Kelsey James; and great grandchildren Alex Aponte, Jade Jones, Samantha Vasquez, Raul Vasquez and Leilei Vasquez. He was a retiree of Rochester Products.

Friends may call TUESDAY from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Wednesday morning, friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 10:00 in the chapel at St. John’s Home, 150 Highland Ave. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. John’s Nursing Home, South Building, 6th Floor, 150 Highland Ave., Rochester, NY 14620 in his memory.
