Spencerport: Despite his strong will to live, Richard J. Prince, born on April 8, 1929, passed away on August 31, 2016, after battling multiple health issues. Richard was a retiree of Delco Products, a division of General Motors. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Christine (Mastrella) Prince; children, Bob Prince, Karen (Oliver) Trowbridge, Maureen Prince, Michelle Ryan (Paul Maier), Brian F. Prince, Richard P. Prince; 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Lorraine (Neil) Fichtner, Bernard Prince and Ronald (Marti) Prince; sisters-in-law, Anna DiGiovanni, Rose Mastrella and Mary Tantalo; many nieces, nephews and friends. Richard was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Marion (Scanlon) Prince; brothers, Gordon, Kenneth and Robert Prince; sister, Monica Rothbauer
Friends may Call Thursday, September 8, from 4-8PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Friday, September 9, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:30 at St. Theodore’s Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the name of Richard J. Prince to The Dream Factory, PO Box 308, East Rochester, NY 14445, for the benefit of his great grandson, Jaxson Ryan.
