Spencerport: Peacefully at 96, Jan 28, 2017. Predeceased by his wife Nancy; great-grandson, Drake Ross Pettit; mother and father, Erasmo and Anna DiNitto and sister, Elvira DiCiaccio. Survived by his daughter Anne Marie DiNitto-Erskine; son, Frank DiNitto; granddaughters, Jaime (Brian) Pettit, Haverly Erskine; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Delaney and Tiernan Pettit; special little friends Amanda and Steven; brother Salvatore (Gina) DiNitto, sister-in-law Marie Trotto; brother-in-law Louie Ricci; and all his special nieces and nephews.
Frank was born in Gaeta, Italy and loved America. He was so proud he served in the U.S Navy during World War II and was fortunate to have special cousin Marie Valente arrange and travel with him on Honor Flight. He was a retiree of RG&E.
Friends may call Tuesday, from 3-7PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Wednesday, February 1, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:30 in St. Lawrence Church, 1000 N. Greece Rd. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Dreams from Drake, 26 Golden Pond Trail, Spencerport, NY 14559 in his memory. Frank’s family would like to thank the staff at Westwood Commons for all the love and care given to Frankie D. in his final years.
