Marini, Alfred M.
Rush: Monday, November 12, 2012, at age 81. Predeceased by his wife, Shirley Marini; father and mother, August and Mary Marini; brother, Nino Marini; sister, Flora Spencer. He is survived by his children, John (Anne) Marini, Marianne (Kurt) Jurgensen, Marisa (Thomas) LaSpina, James (Lillian) Marini, Julie (Mark) Cianca; grandchildren, Jared Marini, Lauren Lesce, Nicholas LaSpina, Mariah LaSpina, Jayna Jurgensen, Gunnar Jurgensen, Jessica Marini; his loyal dog, Buddy. Mr. Marini was a retired teacher from the Rochester City School District. "Dad enjoyed a rousing symphony, a spirited conversation, a fine cigar after a good meal, a Notre Dame or a Yankee game, the company of his family and friends, and his calm view over the water."
Friends may call FRIDAY from 3-7PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Rd., Gates. On Saturday morning, November 17, friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:30 in St. Theodore's Church. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Salvation Army, 10 Franklin St., Rochester, NY 14604 in his memory.
Mr. Marini's family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Delehanty and the Cardiac Intensive Care unit at Strong Memorial Hospital for their loving and compassionate care.
