Gates: Friday, May 31, 2013, at age 86. Predeceased by her husband, Giovanni Abate; and granddaughter, Sarah Mauro. She is survived by her children, Maria (Vincenzo) Mauro of IL, Caterina (Salvatore) Montemurro, and Rosario (Grace) Abate; grandchildren, Giacomo (Antonietta) Mauro of IL, Connie (Jeffrey) Meyers, Mary Jo (Russ) Marino, Salvatore G. Montemurro; great-grandchildren, Vincenzo, Marcello and Luciano Mauro, Gabriella and Adrianna Meyers; her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews in Italy; her cousins, Antonina (Gaetano) Rotolo, Giovanni (Nancy) Montemurro, Silvia (Rosario) Centanni & families; and friends at Edna Tina Wilson Living Center.
Friends may call MONDAY Only 4:00-8:00 pm, DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road., Gates. Tuesday, June 4, all are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in St. Theodore's Church.
