Obituary for Ursula A. Allen (Lippa)

Ursula A. Allen (Lippa)
Allen, Ursula A. (Lippa)
Brighton: December 15, 2012, at age 83, passed away at Highlands at Brighton. Ursula will be remembered by those who loved her best and longest as a fun loving, passionate woman, a natural caregiver with a big heart and deep religious faith. She loved music, especially playing the piano, and the many trips she enjoyed with her family, especially to VillaValleLonga, Abruzzi, Italy and Florida. She was also a lifelong member of Holy Apostles Church.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Lippa Schauseil; brothers, Louis and John Lippa; her nieces, Christine (Julio) Zambrano, Yvonne (Stephen) Schmergel and nephew, Richard J. Schauseil; as well as special loving freinds, Stan Kreher, Dick Loiacono, Judy Curtin, Louis Paolino, Tom Tosti and longtime friend, Dorothy Pusateri; many cousins, friends, grand nieces and grand nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Dominic and Lucy Lippa, her youngest sister, Patricia Ann Lippa, her brother-in-law, Richard J. Schauseil, Sr.; her nephew, Thomas A. Schauseil; and her aunt, Pat (Mike) Pocchiari.
Ursula devoted several years of her life to caring for her parents and others. Then, she herself was lovingly cared for by her family, friends and caregivers after remarkably surviving a massive stroke 11 years ago. She celebrated her 80th birthday with a special party with friends and family to the music of the late, Len Hawley.
Friends may call WEDNESDAY from 3-7PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc,., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Thursday morning, December 20, friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 9:00 in Holy Apostles Church, 530 Lyell Ave. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Holy Apostles Church, 7 Austin St. Rochester, NY 14606 in her memory. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Highlands at Brighton, especially Dr. Joseph Nicholas, and Ursula's loving and compassionate friends on staff.
